Jonah: Alone in the Great Unknown | Dr Safiyyah Ally 🧕

Fed up after years of preaching to the people of Nineveh, Jonah​ or Prophet​ Yunus (on whom be peace) boarded a ship to get out of town and found himself suddenly alone in the great unknown.

When we reflect on the story of Jonah, we learn important lessons about how to behave in this situation of uncertainty and difficulty that we find ourselves in now. Being thrust out of our routine provides the perfect opportunity to think about what we’re doing wrong and commit to changing our ways. And dua​ or supplication to God is powerful; we must not despair of the help and mercy of God to rescue us from our distress, even if we’ve done wrong.
